An evening with Kenosha’s Old Brown Shoes

Old Brown Shoes brings his own unique style of blues to the Kenosha music scene.

The alter ego of Danny Crucianelli, the music act serves as an almost experimental vehicle for the longtime musician.

In many ways, the persona of Old Brown Shoes allows Crucianelli to showcase even more of his talents. With many years already in the scene, that’s exciting to see. In fact, you may have previously encountered him playing rock-a-billy music with Old Junk. Or you’ve possibly seen him playing hard rock in Dropping Daisies with his wife Aimee.

However, more than being a very accomplished musician, Crucianelli has also served at many times as a mentor to many in the local music scene.

Whether it’s advice on something related to songwriting or showing someone a different way to make a chord or offering another take on a guitar riff, Crucianelli is a great resource and wealth of knowledge when it comes to theory and also the more logistical struggles of being a gigging musician.

You can catch Crucianelli and Old Brown Shoes the last Sunday of every month at Rustic Road Brewing Company — 5706 6th Ave. in downtown Kenosha. The band plays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. If you go some time, you’ll walk away with a new perspective of what the blues can be.

Below, please enjoy a gallery of photos and a couple videos from Old Brown Shoes monthly show at Rustic Road this past Sunday, Jan. 25, 2026.
