The Kenosha Yacht Club may have recently changed the hours and day of its open mic; however, it’s still the same dynamic experience.
Hosted by the Spirit Shakers, Kenosha Yacht Club now holds its open mic on Thursdays from 8:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. The change occurred in tandem with the beginning of the Spirit Shakers’ residency at Public Brewing Company on Wednesdays – the original night of the yacht club mic.
You know the cliche of a “starving artist”? It’s me. Leave a tip if you like my work.

While the business currently hosts the mic inside the winter months, it usually takes place outside on the patio as the weather gets warmer. If you’ve never experienced what it’s like to hear local, original music in the sunlight along the harbor, make sure you do this summer.
Below, please enjoy some photos from last Thursday’s open mic at Kenosha Yacht Club. And don’t forget to check out the mic this Thursday — and every Thursday — from 8:30 to 11 p.m. at Kenosha Yacht Club, 5130 4th Ave.
