On any given Thursday night out in Kenosha, you can find a plethora of musical acts and open mic opportunities.
If it’s the third Thursday of the month, you could begin your night at the unplugged acoustic jam at Olafson & Porter Vintage Goods at 6 p.m.; swing over to Kenosha Creative Space for their mic at 7 p.m.; stop by Captain Mike’s to catch a blues set from Ivy Ford and Rogers Randle Jr. at 8 p.m. before heading to the Spirit Shakers open mic at Kenosha Yacht Club starting at 8:30 p.m.; and finally, you can end your night catching the remaining hours of the Rhythm Dogs Blues Jam at Union Park Tavern, which runs weekly from 8:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
You know the cliche of a “starving artist”? It’s me. Leave a tip if you like my work.

I decided to try it out myself this past Thursday, February 19, taking my camera along for the journey.
Below, please find what I saw on my Thursday out in Kenosha.
