If you see Tomorrow

Let me read it to you

I miss Tomorrow.

I’ve been stuck in Today too long.

It was Today yesterday;

It was Today the day before that.

One long Today lingering,

While Tomorrow hides like a timid cat.

I woke up early,

expecting Tomorrow to be at the door

But by the time dinner was cookin’,

I still hadn’t heard its boots on my floor.

I’ve traveled near and far,

Searched above and below the ground

But I’m just wastin’ already limited time

On a Tomorrow that can’t be found.

But, if you happen to catch Tomorrow,

Wherever it may be,

You be sure and let it know

I’ve been waitin’ for Tomorrow to find me.
